Tinakilly House was undoubtedly the perfect choice for Abby and Hugo. The location is simply amazing. Not far from Dublin, in Wicklow. Truly charming magical place steeped in nature. The beautiful Country House is surrounded by green landscapes. In addition to acres of gardens, trees and flowers it also overlooks the Irish sea. Importantly the weather on the day did not let them down. It was a perfect sunny and warm day. You could almost feel sweet smell of fresh cut grass in the air. All of it makes this a fantastic spot for the wedding.
We spent a weekend visiting 6 places around Leinster and although all locations had something we loved, Tinakilly kept coming into our conversations and minds when discussing potential venues. We loved the country house feel, the amazing floral and fauna in their grounds, the marquee hidden from the main house and the opportunity to have a ceremony outside was a big bonus for us.

The atmosphere is clearly amazing. Without a doubt morning preparations are filled with joy and laughter. In such a beautifully decorated place it simply a bliss to have make up and hair styling done. As well as enjoying a glass of Prosecco.
Weather was glorious therefore we have decided to take a few group photographs in a small garden. Located just at the back of the Country House. Easily accessed without any notice from guests who have already arrived at the venue.
Wedding Gifts.
We met in London at our local Hockey Club during a social night. Hugo accidently hit Abby on the head while trying to move some chairs but she forgave him and it all started from there. Many adventures and travels happened over the next 5 years and Hugo proposed to Abby on 30th December 2017
Groom with his best men decided to have a serious talk in a garden.
Namely a beer garden in a nearby Rathnew town. One of may places to chill out before taking vows.
Getting back to Tinakilly House. Dressing the wedding gown.
The times goes by really fast now. Wedding guests are arriving as well as groom with his best men.
Dressing up happens in a different room.
Minutes before the start of the ceremony.
Fantastic setup of the outside humanist ceremony makes an absolutely immense impression on wedding guests.
Chairs are set in a semicircle with wedding couple`s chairs taking center stage. Also humanist celebrant is in the place now.
OK, brief announcements and time has finally come for the main event. What you experience now is total silence, anticipation and excitement with just the sounds of water drops from a nearby fountain.
The music starts playing.
Ceremony readings, music and candles.
Declaring love.
Hand shaking, congratulations and lots of hugs.
When the fun begins, drink reception and great time.
Everyone is happy and relaxed. Background music, cold drinks in addition to outdoor activities created ideal atmosphere. Just look at this amazing setup, it is just perfect.
Wedding pictures.
While guests are enjoying themselves at the drink reception, we managed to take family pictures in the garden and then a bit more private in tranquil woodland area.
This country House provides plentiful opportunities for wedding pictures and video. Including lawns, few gardens or the gazebo.
Time for dinner.
Dinner in Tinakilly House is held in the marque which is hidden between trees in the woodland area. It is really bright with stylish and romantic decorations. Views from the windows are breathtaking.
After wedding speeches bride and groom are perfecting their first dance.
As our friends love a good party, we knew there was going to be a lively atmosphere for the whole day. Once the band started everyone was up and dancing to the early hours!!

With the videographer, photographer, beauty team and the staff at Tinakilly we were lucky that we did not face many challenges, however with the stress of air strikes and potential rain we did have some sleepless nights but we were delighted that nothing major occurred and had the best weekend.
